Chilly start but dry. Been evicted by the OH whilst she does the housework....same a shame I will have to spend the day over the plots

Rary, I'd love to have your rain. Will you be couriering it over or sending it by post?
Plus, onions are pretty hardy. If the ground isn't too hard to plant them, they won't be too bothered by the cold. Cold and dry is better than not quite as cold but wet.

Bright and chilly again, chillier than yesterday in fact. Work calls.

good evening, rain has stopped now, it had been on and off all day with a cold wind, and even the wind has died down though it fees colder, our daughter was in with her youngest a short time ago , and boy the youngsters nowadays need a spell of living with just a coal fire to heat the house, they don't know how to close doors, their house is quite modern with high insulation so going from room to room there is not a great difference in temp. especially when the doors are left open all the time and when I tell them to close the doors OH says its ok, guess whose chair is right next to the radiator, and sits and moans if I leave the door open when I go to make the supper right I think I will go and read a book as there is nothing worth watching on TV, it will soon be the weekend, so enjoy your day tomorrow and pass on that smile

It's raining by the way. I'm killing time because Himself goes to the butcher's today and if we're too early it's not open! Taking the Parkin to work today so I hope it's not dry.

Pink clouds across the sky. Not sure if they really are a shepherd's warning, but temperatures are due to drop significantly tonight. Time to get the thick quilt out and see about shifting stuff in the bedroom so we can get the word-burning stove in there going. I don't mind the cold outside because it's a good excuse to get nice and toasty indoors.

Not as cold as I was expecting = that's always a bonus There's a bit of high cloud and pretty pinkish glow a bit earlier.
Housework today, got a new lightweight hoover for the stairs to play with, cos the dyson was getting too heavy for that.

Morning all, we have shiney but it was chucking it down earlier. . Forecast for snow on the high ground and with an airflow from the North. Brrrh just at the thought.

Heading out shopping shortly and will be paying a visit to an organic grow shop. They stock a product called "Root Riot" which is basically some compressed compost in trays but also bags of refills and at prices cheaper than Fleabay. I'm going to give them a try. I'll report back sometime well if I remember

We have a cold start with a weak sun trying to warm things up a bit, might go out with the camera later, have fun.

It actually is a dry sunny day here today, my onion sets are in and I also cut the grass, though I now need to take it easy as I have been having problems with my knee I am having quite a bit of pain shooting through it, it was fine this morning but as I have been in my feet all day the pain is starting up again, right need to go and feed the boy's as they are out at the scouts tonight
