Morning a bit damp out but no frost, didn't get any trick or treaters so the sweets have gone back into the jar, we used to get a fair few kids calling but over the years they've grown up so now there's no kids on our road.

I think I will need to go and get a nurse's uniform also have my daughter's youngest in the house as he is ill as well, and he definitely is not having a toddie I wonder f you can still get casteroil? I am quite sure that would cure him

What numpties we can be!....
Last night I commented to OH if had students this morning (about an hour away ) and he set off bright and early .
Got there.....no cars in the car park.
Strange...
Then he remembered it's a Bank Holiday!!!!!
Pah....what a waste of a couple of hours...petrol etc...plus we lost our chance of a lie-in!

No trick & treaters here either. Too far to walk from the village!

Woke up to Ambleside drizzle, but it's eased off now. Sun attempting to break through the clouds. More rain due at the weekend or early next week. Wonder how long before the novelty wears off! The shame of it is, though, that it's clear at night and cloudy and wet in the day. Would be much more convenient if it were the other way round.

It's a public holiday here today. But I'm working, as per, but thinking of a good friend in the local cemetery. Will try and visit him over the next day or so.

All that honeysuckle and dog rose I cut down yesterday will have to wait till tomorrow for shredding as will the trellis repairs.

ERR afternoon all,where did the morning go,grey and drizzle here,gradually getting the home tamed again,but my stupid brain keeps stiring on painting the other rooms,i must not,imust not imustnot until next year,got to finalize the lottie plans,and try to get into some sewing,not sowing,i got loads of fabric ext,ext,just needs to be fashioned into things,i need skirts for a start off,plus they are easy peasy,Bgood2yrselves all,

The "pups" have gone for a haircut and the house is very empty and quiet. Its a bit like when there's a powercut and all the things you want to do need electricity. There's lot of things I should be doing which are easier without "puppies" to help, but I'm just sitting here waiting for them to come home - and that won't be until late this afternoon.
Must go and do some weeding.............byeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Good evening, up at my daughter's, OH slept all morning, but now up we had a bit of a disagreement this morning ad I wanted to get the doctor in but she said she was fine just a bit of a cold, yet she had me in a bit of a panic four or five times through the night when she was choking.
It's been a cold damp day today, but I did manage to tidy up some door frames, OH decided on Monday we were doing away with the glass doors as we don't have the energy nowadays for cleaning them all, so three doors removed and have replaced two, oh and now the hall is too dark, we need to put a lamp into it are women only happy,when they are spending money what's wrong with a candle, that also provides heat but I will let you guess who will get their own way

Shredded several bags of leaves and then 're - bagged them. Then had to visit another site for the quarterly inspection. I was inducting a new site rep so have left them with all the paperwork

Hope the Mrs is soon back to good health rary

Was woken this morning by a local farmer moving his cows. Lots of calling and dogs barking. Sounds like they have finished now.

The log fire staying in overnight so I was nice and warm making a cuppa just now.

Just listening to something scratching around in our roof space at the moment! It's certainly warmer up there for it than outside!

More craft work for me today, then a bit of tidying up in the garden when it's warmed up a tad.
Looks like the geraniums need bringing in soon.
