Morning Crew, looks to be a sunny and dry one today and hopefully tomorrow so that I can go to my allotment and harvest the last of my spuds and beetroots for this year Saturday as Sunday is due to be wet and nasty.

Bit more drizzle again. So in addition to the big rainfall (apparently a record over four days in our village), we've had another 25 litres per square metre in the last three days. Brilliant. Not just because of the rain itself but because the heavy rain will still be soaking in and not drying up in these conditions. Mr Snoop took the dogs down to the spring at the end of our valley and it's flowing again.
Not much other news. Bit cold, so I'll be getting the range going shortly. Not much paid work on next week, so ground conditions permitting, I'll be doing a bit of work to get my plot ready for next year. Was feeling like a bit of a fraud on here this year. With any luck, I'll be growing more next year.
Have a great day, everyone. Weekend starts soon, sooner still after the clock change.

Well today was Wednesday at least I did what I should have done on Wednesday today. My task was to repair a large opening window (approx 3ft x 3ft) on a hexagonal red cedar greenhouse. The glass was out but intact and the problem stemmed from rot at the bottom of the frame and at the bottom of the two sides. I had to fashion the profile of the bottom part of the frame and then marry that to the sides after inserting the glass. Almost got to the stage of thinking I'd bitten off more than I could chew but eventually I overcame all the niggly bits and my last remaining customer was delighted. I was just relieved I got it done on a fine day before the proper onset of winter.

Good evening, a dry but cold day today, haven't been very active today went for a haircut, and when walking, back through the town I met an old workmate who I hadn't seen for several years, I actually thought he had passed away, stood blathering for a time and he invited me to check me to the pub for a drink, which I declined, after all it was only 11-0-clock, headed back home and OH was up and about thankfully she is a lot better but as grumpy as hell, I made a big pot of vegetable soup and everything was from the garden then picked up the boy's from school, and have just lazed about since then, right away to make the supper and see if the mood has changedit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
