Felt a bit chillier tonight than it has of late - dropped Mrs B off for a night out on the tiles - poor dear has had a biopsy under her toenail and that just has the look of something that might need antibiotics now. Still, an evening dancing around the pubs of north devon will kill or cure.
Depending on the state of the toe I shall be either ferrying to the clinic or at the plot burning / tidying / barrowing...sigpic
1574 gin and tonics please Monica, large ones.

Mornin n'alln'all
Brrr....
And brrrrr again...it's flippin cold out there this morning!
Even Hibou stopped to check it out before setting off in a purposeful manner...
Log fire staying in all night- think I might light the wood stove today and give that room a blast of heat.
OH defrosted a lovely piece of our daughter's beef yesterday so it'd be good to slow cook it in there. ...and a rice puddn don't ya think?
I made some green tomato mincemeat a few weeks ago so that might be ready to open(...that or the apple n date 'paste' I accidentally made) to have with the rice puddn.
Wow....just listening to the first birdcall of the day...it's getting later and later!
Must remember to top up the peanuts today...
See ya later peeps - have a gudun"Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

Mornings!
Bright and sunny but blooming chilly 2C overnight and still only 5C now Brrr! Molly decided she didn't want to go out after all, despite all the moaning at the bottom of the stairs that woke me up. Cats eh!
I think I'll wait to see if it warms up a bit before I even think about any more greenhouse frame fixing on the plot. Spanners, screwdrivers and cold hands just don't work together, for me...
This morning I think I'll rifle through the larder to see what extra ingredients (for you-know-when baking) that I'll need to order with my next Trashco delivery
Have a good'un whatever you're up to

Good for Molly!!!^^^
Hibou wasn't out long...clearly needed a pee or something....
Quick munch of breakfast , then curled up in the wood basket next to the fire...
Happily dreaming away...
Last night she was making little 'yippy' noises in her sleep...aww!
( she also snores but don't tell her I told you that!!)Last edited by Nicos; 18-11-2018, 09:24 AM."Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

Evening all. Had a recovery day today. Drove down to Edinburgh on Friday. Had a meal out with my brother and his wife in the evening. Didn't sleep well in hotel. Attended an all day seminar(National Vegetable Society) on Saturday. Spent a load of dosh. Sheesh Rary would have been horrified except I borrowed it from her ladyship . Three hour drive home .
When I say recovery day, it's kinda relative. I sowed 3 dozen kelsae onion seeds in polystyrene cells and then pricked out some Golden Bear onion seedlings into 2 x 40 cellpacks. My onions are started 6 weeks or so earlier than usual this year as next year's NVS National Championships are to be held at the end of July instead of the beginning to mid September down at the New Forest Show. Ludicrously early but we have to live with it and just do what we can to try to compete with the folks from down south.
Lovely to think of Hibou snoring.Last edited by Aberdeenplotter; 18-11-2018, 08:07 PM.
