        • So sorry to hear the sad new about your brother in law Cad.
Thoughts are with your family at this time.

          • evening all. Been our day for doing the grocery shopping for her Ladyship's parents. Her mum is 89 and her dad 93 and now totally blind. They have carers coming in 4 times daily which has eased their situation but the care staff are not all doing what they should be doing . It's been wet and cold for most of the day and someone said earlier that snow was expected on the hills tomorrow. My feet are cold again just at the thought.

Whilst out, I took a trip into a branch of Homebase which is about to close. Up to 80% off some items but were the plant markers really £6+ to start with. I spent £4 or so but couldn't persuade any notes out of my wallet. It must be so dispiriting for the staff so close to Christmas.

            • Just back from my fishing trip, arrived just before dark to check out the area and watch the sea, 30 mph winds and a 10 foot swell greeted me, but I was able to use a spot I had fished before. As the tide was falling I had seen it at it's worst, so settled down in the dark and caught 2 small Cod, one returned to swim another day and one filleted in the fridge for tea tomorrow.

A cocktail of mackerel strip, squid and frozen black lug did the trick, was at Usan, where do you fish AP?

                      • Morning, woke up really early today.
Fasting blood test this morning, so getting up early is not in my interest.
I am sipping a glass of cold water instead of tea argh.
                        Have a good day folks

                        • Morning Crew and thank you all for your kindness. After eight weeks of visiting my Brother in Law in hospital and running my sister in law home in the evening it was strange not to have to go out of the house. I don't know if my sister in law will keep up their allotment plot next year, I'm hoping she will and I'm more than happy to help her out with humping harvest home etc as she does not drive.

The paperwork can be picked up from the hospital today and the death registered and arrangements made. I really do think that schools should teach you what needs to be done in the event of a death in the family. IMHO There should be more basic life skills taught in schools.
