Good morning all.
Miserable grey morning and we have just had a shower.
Not sure yet what the day will bring as we have nothing planned.
Enjoy your day whatever you are doing.
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Morning, late on parade as I was a dirty stop out last night, two am when I crawled into bed, had a great day with two smallest grandchildren in Perth. Soccer lessons for the 4 year old, followed by swimming lesson for the 7 year old then McDonalds for lunch and a curry for tea, will take me till Tuesday to recover, where do they get the energy from.

good evening, a very quiet day today, and not because I was at a party last night as I don't drink and drive, was out at church this morning, then stayed in all day, done one or two small jobs that needed done about the house, picked some veg for roasting for tea, was on the What I Picked Today thread, and when looking through some of the harvests it makes me realise how short the growing season is up here, still I just need to walk for 5 minutes and the views are great oh and I also turned the seaweed that's spread on the garden as the birds seem to like picking through it and they dive in as soon as I stand back, now off to see whats on telly if nothing worth watching I might start learning a poem or I might go to bed early I think it will be learning a poem Enjoy your week and pass on a smile Goodnightit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Evening All!
Just popping in to share my Tales from the supermarket, hunting down Yellow Stickers.
The regulars were there before me but we look out for each other and share!
The man in the baseball cap told me about the Blueberries (£4 down to 15p) and shallots (£1 at 5p). Hoping to grow both as well as eat them.
Another of the regulars came to me and offered me a £6 box of party cupcakes that she'd picked up for 60p - as she wanted to give them to somebody! I declined as I'd bought some last week and they are mega-sweet and sickly.
The biggest bargain of the day was bacon - £4 packs down to 20p! So I picked up 8 packs! I don't eat it but I know several people who do
A chap sidled up and said "You must like bacon" so I told him I liked the price best and showed him. He was so impressed I gave him a packet for which he thanked me profusely - even gave me a cwtch! He caught up with his wife, who was pushing the trolley, and I could hear him telling her how kind I was etc. Then he came back and gave me the bacon 'cos "She didn't like the look of it". I told him he should find another wife and he looked horrified -
"She's not my wife". Hope she wasn't his mother!!
Dinner tonight was Prawn bhuna (17p) with tri-colour rice (8p) and a big fat mozzarella and sundried tomato chapatti-type bread (8p).
Followed by a slice of chocolate cheesecake (30p).
Another expensive meal.
Hope you've all have a slap-up meal too.
