I really must make my own sometime. I did have a recipe but goodness knows where I put it.
I tried making crumpets but they kept getting stuck to the rings, pikelets are much easier.Location....East Midlands.

I won't say it's a "Good morning" as we are being battered here by the storm.
Driving rain and gale force winds and as dark as night.
In other words, miserable.
Had a grilled rather sandwich for breakfast this morning as it was the last one left and very tasty it was.
Nothing planned today so probably domestics.
Have a good day all,
And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

Hibou also gets through a sachet of food a day and has ad lib dry food but never seems to put on weight...she's a tiny little thing too!
Not fair is it????
( mind you, I think I'd lose weight if I was supposed to eat mice all day!)
The only thing I've seen her leave are moles, bats() and lizards ( minus their tails)..oh and our chooks and bunny!
Not much is safe...not even rats or stoats!!!!
You'd think butter wouldn't melt if you saw her. Such a sweet lass until it comes to mealtime.
So glad she doesn't kill much just for fun.Last edited by Nicos; 27-11-2018, 01:44 PM."Nicos, Queen of Gooooogle" and... GYO's own Miss Marple

Good evening, it started off very cold here this morning, then even though the frost started to lift there was still a cold wind, I had to take my oldest grandson to the dentist for a filling, I don't know why I had to take him he has a phobia about needles but for some reason his mum or dad or gran couldn't go with him, fortunately everything was fine, after that I was in the garden for a time then by mid day it became very overcast and by 2 heavy rain, its off just now but still cold, so wrap up warm and pass on a smileit may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.

Evening all.
Been a bright day here but turned very chilly late afternoon. Some good news for me: taxman emailed to say they've 'ordered' my tax refund. So at least I know they've approved it, even if I don't know precisely when it will turn up. And the town hall has approved our building permit. The downside is the dog with the lump on the leg: she's getting depressed and anxious when left alone. Off to the vet's on Thursday for another check-up. It's a huge wound, according to Mr Snoop, as they removed a lot of tissue to the sides. Poor thing.
Good lunch (black-eyed bean dish from Manjula's Kitchen, recommended, if I remember rightly, by Thelma in another world and time - one of my favourites). Not sure about supper. Green soup probably.
Anyway, have a lovely evening, everyone.

Good evening again, had to take one of the grandsons to his drumming lessons to night and boy I am sorry for anyone who has to drive in that volume of traffic every day.
Though before I went out with a him i emptied a big rubble bag of wood so happy with that, it has now turned a bit milder and wet and the forcast is not good over the next few days,it may be a struggle to reach the top, but once your over the hill your problems start.
