          • Happy Sunday
            To make you laugh.....................

I put my jeans on this morning whilst looking out of the window at the garden - day dreaming as one does when doing something so automatic as getting dressed.
I already had a long shirt on so couldn't see the waist of the jeans, - but its always in the same place so why should I look.

As I pulled up the jeans I thought they felt a bit "funny" - maybe they'd shrunk or I'd put on more weight? So, I'm fumbling around, under my shirt, feeling for the zip but it wasn't there. Fummble, fumble, rootle and rummage............Nope, no zip!

Eventually, I looked away from the garden and lifted up my shirt to look for the zip..................

            I'd put them on backwards.

            • Had a days graft in the drizzling rain knocking up the frame work for a storage lean-to for firewood. The main framework is now in position. It is all based around a pallet for the base and appended to my shed.

Going to my old allotment tomorrow to load up with some timber boards I have stored there. These I will use for the slatted sides of the woodstore.
I then need to figure out what to use for the roof, ether for free or very cheaply.

                • Good evening, been a bit wet again today but as I was not going out it didn't worry me, I have been having problems with the central heating the past couple of days, first it wouldn't come on but then managed to get it running and ad I was going out was thankful for that when I came back in on Friday night the house felt warm but thought OH had increased the temperature as she really feel the cold all the time, lowered the set point as I went to bed but woke up during the night as the bedroom was too warm, I had to switch the heating off and when I tried to restart it in the morning it wouldn't work traced the problem to the controller, but unable to bypass it so no heating yesterday OH was complaining all day about it so offered Togo to bed to share body heat but for some reason she declined the offer she told me to bring in the heater from the greenhouse and the one from the conservatory (personally I think she missed a good opportunity) 4-0-clock yesterday I got my son to order a new controller from Amazon when I came home from church this morning it had been delivered, by 3-0-clock the heating was back on and working fine, I am not that keen on using the internet services but really can't complain about the very good service

                      • Evening all.

Been cold here today but dry which was important as the village held its annual Christmas Tree light switch on ceremony with a guest appearance from Santa.

Entertainment and soup, sausage rolls and mince meat pies afterwards which were enjoyed by everyone but especially the kids.

We had fishcakes and baked beans for tea. Quick and simple so feet up now

                        • Good night all.
Back home after a long day out.
After a late lunch out, we went to Dublin zoo to see the Night Lights show.
I can only say it was spectacular.
What a great start to the build up to Christmas.
We were five adults and six children, and all had a wonderful evening.
Having said that, it's not that easy to organise when the age range is from five months to mid seventies but was well worth all the planning, driving and pre booking.

                              • Mornings,
Showery but very mild at 13C, so mustn't grumble - had to turn the boiler down a notch or 2, no posh thermostats here
Good night's sleep so woke up raring to go, dust sheets & sander at the ready then the table can match the rest of the furniture at last! and all before the tree and lights go up Wish me luck!
