Mornings,
Very mild again after rain overnight, and still drizzly - but need to get into gear for 10.45 bus into town to collect my new glasses.

It was really the 9.45 bus I needed haha! I got to the stop in time but waited 45mins in the rain before a bus arrived - needless to say it was full - so waited another 15mins for the next one, they are supposed to run every 15mins, so no idea what's going on! I was very late, soaked through and aching with the cold, by the time I got to specsavers, but they fitted me in. Result! Now feeling posh in the new ones
Spose this could have gone in the rant thread, apart for the last bit

They suit you Thelma Been to the hairdresser this afternoon so home now and about to make dumplings for the hash. Tree is looking at me but it will have to wait until I'm off work next week.

Good afternoon,its cold and wet today, went out a walk with the dog this morning, had my umbrella with me due to the heavy rain but finished up having to use it as a walking stick as it was so icy underfoot, it was bitterly cold,, but when the dog decided to roll in ???? well I don't know what t was, she is a white dog but was absolutely filthy and stinking, I had to hose her down before we went in the house, and the smell was stomach turning,,, its now several hours later and she is sitting here looking as if butter wouldn't melt in her mouth, so nice and gentle oh, and so clean

Good evening all.
Not cold here at all with a temp of q0deg.
Just had a panicked call from my young teenage granddaughter.
Apparently she forgot her key and found herself locked out when she returned from school.
Nana and grandad to the rescue.
Jump in the car to rescue, and calm down said granddaughter.
Now sitting doing homework and awaiting her dinner.
Why is everything a major catastrophe in a teenagers life?

Awful weather. I really need a dry day to sort out the “summer house” as my daughter insists on calling my shed.

I picked up my new (second hand) car today and went shopping. I now have food in the house. OMG is Xmas that close! Aargh!

The dogs can now get to the groomers, they are well overdue.

Put the tree up in the living room and SWMBO did the decorations, early this year but I do like it.

Another very early start for me today.

Am off to IKEA later with a friend and need to get 'stuff' completed before we go.
I'm really looking forward to it , just hoping it's not too busy and also that the 'yellow jacket' demonstrators aren't protesting and blocking the main roads nearby.

Hoping to get our Xmas trees tomorrow

Mornings!
My daughter popped in last evening she forgot to bring back my cake tins and I forgot to give her the advent calendars - so forgetfulness must run in the family *chuckle*
I'm still in PJs, must get myself organised. Washing in the m/c, but it'll be dried indoors today - it's too damp outside
More sanding, and hopefully varnishing on the list for today.
