  • Early Evening All

Went to the kids Christmas play today, no idea what it was about but the eldest grandson was a dog and middle grandaugher was a girl from Africa.

    They enjoyed it though

Weather was appalling this morning with high winds and torrential rain, clear skies now and markedly colder

    • Early evening from me too
Been a horrible rainy day, but I was out shopping with my friend and we managed to keep warm in a shopping centre. A yearly event, I just go along for the company, so didn’t spend too much
Feeling much better today, thank goodness.
      Have a good evening folks

      • After a horrendous night and early morning downpour the day turned out warmish and sunny. My 2 pooches are in dire need of grooming but the earliest appointment I could get is in 5 weeks time. I'll just keep the scissors handy.

        • Bit of a funny day yesterday...
Managed to buy one tree but no decorating done apart from parcels on the outdoor tree.(a typically French thing to do around here)
Maybe today, but we need to MOT our golf this morning and then selling it either today or tomorrow (you must have an MOT less than 6months old when selling a car here) but the buyer seems very keen.
Just hope it gets through with no more problems.
OH not well and looks like I might be coming down with the same thing! Pah

The upside of nipping to the shops is that we accidentally bought a few 'luxury' frozen food items for the festive season
High winds and sleet/slushy hailstones here too yesterday.

Right...lets see if I can get back to sleep now

          • Mornings,
Molly cat insisted it was time to get up and then when I opened the door, decided she didn't want to go out, after all. Cats - don't you just love them?

Table nearly finished, chairs will have to wait til after Xmas - I'm fed up with sanding
Then a clean up and time for some decorations, I think
Good luck with the car Nicos, fingers crossed for you.

            Have a good'un whatever you're up to.

            • Mornin Thelman'all

Just waiting to see if we need to take 2cars today. I'd rather deliver it today than tomorrow ( meeting half way...if...if...all is OK)

I noticed yesterday that for the first time our village has fairy lights in the trees. Tis the first time apparently in the 24 years our mayor has been in office. Maybe they are solar?( she's very green politically -be interesting to find out)
They are simple but very pretty.

Very windy again here- the chooks are having to walk sideways to go forwards...it's really funny to watch them bluster along!!!

See ya later-anyone got festive events going on today??

For the first time in 24 years we will not be going to the panto as the grandkids have grown out of it.

Car passed with flying colours....but bloke can't meet up until tomorrow.
Upside is that we might make a day of it, have lunch out etc

Must get all our decorations up today instead then.

Oh...meant to say that I bought 3 lovely pontsettias from IKEA the other day. Very good quality and value!
Lets see how long it takes me to kill them all off. I'll bet it'll be by the end of March max!

                            • Afternoon all. Blue skies but temps dropping back to normal for the time of year. Bit of a shame: hard frosts at night but daytime temps hitting 20 ºC was nigh-on perfect. Mr Snoop is outside sorting out firewood. Nothing like home-made bread and pizza for providing an incentive.

As for me, I'm struggling writing a bill for a client. Must try and sort them out properly next year. One organisation, lots of projects, lots of different people sending me work. I always assume it'll become clear what I'm doing by the end of the project and usually this works as a strategy. But not this time. Still, it'll all be money in the bank eventually. Just as well, as we've got our building permit for a garage, so all cents and euros will be very handy.

Have a jolly afternoon and evening.

                              • Evening all. Been a day of changeable weather but it is winter so we should be grateful for the nice moments. I spent a while in the greenhouse potting onion seedlings growing in root riots into 60mm pots. Less than a fortnight now till the shortest day .
