Twas indeed a cold night. Dog off to the vet's again this morning. Mr Snoop scraped off the car, came inside to look for his phone, went back out and it was covered again in frost. And he hadn't found his phone, either. Reckon it'll be one of those days where the frost on the far side of the valley (in the shade) doesn't thaw.

So, more work. And a bit more billing. But getting to the end of that, thank goodness.

Coffee on the go but no breakfast yet. You got any of those delicious croissants like the other day, Nicos?

Mornings, up early to make sure delivery man doesn't catch me in the shower. Ooer missus! I turn on PC look to at emails - sorry, but he isn't delivering 'til tomorrow, now....Grrr!
Yesterday evening, I made some almond pastry for some mince pies, just taken the first batch out of the oven and having one with my coffee. Delish, if I say so myself! Help yourself

Morning all, I've been in South Ayrshire for the weekend so have been missing the gossip...no internet and although we now get 4G on our phones there I end up using a months worth of data in a few days so I just have an internet free weekend, bliss!
Hope this finds you all well. It's a damp chilly day so won't be doing much. Thought about heading out to the shops but have changed my mind can't face trying to get parked.

Just a bit on the posts in the rant thread about scam phone calls. We have a BT phone with Call Guardian which only allows telephone numbers that you have loaded on your phone to ring in your home. Other numbers which are not on your call list are answered by 'call guardian' and the person leaves their name and number, the phone then rings in your home and you hear the person announcing their details. You can then decide whether to answer or not or send the call to your answering machine. If it's someone you don't mind contacting you you then have the option of adding them to your call list. You can also block at a later date if you change your mind. Works a dream.

evening all. Earned some brownie points yesterday by fitting a new roller blind in the kitchen. One of these ones with a double layer of fabric that has an open and shut effect depending on how far the blind is opened. Hope that makes sense. Anyway, I have a really sore shoulder at the moment and I was in agony before I finished. But wow, I can hardly believe the difference it has made. Looks almost as if it is in a show catalogue. It's fitted within the window frame instead of on the face and it has a silver finish rather than faded black. So the room looks bigger and brighter as well as modern. Mega result.

Had a busy, but productive day yesterday, cemetery duty, visiting relatives and ending up at our Daughters to give her the Christmas cards I had made for her to give to her lot.
My Grandson opened his and said ‘ you should start selling these Nan’
I took that as a complement
Back to work today, weather not looking too bad yet

Meanwhile, back at this ranch, no frost this morning. But I did get up rather later than usual. That's what comes of watching rubbish films late at night. Still, very bright and blue. Better make the most of it. The forecast for tomorrow and Friday is rain and cloudy days thereafter.

Somewhat unexpectedly, I saw a Cleopatra butterfly yesterday. Hope it manages to go back into hibernation. The birds have been behaving like it's spring these last few days too.

Well..who would have believed it!
Yesterday I was so full of a dribbley cold that my nozzle is now red raw.
Today I'm fine!

Not complaining though...glad it's not lasted days.

Christmas card writing for me today. Can't believe how few I write as I prefer to email and telephone people instead these days.
The card said are very hard to find here as New Year cards are the tradition.

AP...you have motivated me into making some Bathroom curtains this week
*wonders if I'll get a Guinness for my efforts too(hope so!)
