Good Morning All Feels warmer than yesterday. Deserved result in Strictly. No smoke alarm this morning, it was a police helicopter instead! Have a lovely Sunday

The drip, drip, drip of frost on the roof thawing and dropping to the ground going on outside. Bit of sun trying to come through the clouds.

Tried Geminid spotting again last night, but no go. That said, I had a very lucky spell of half a minute on Friday night and saw eight! My best count ever. Really wanted to stay out for more but saw none in the next minute and got perishing cold. So called it a night and went to bed.

Did some veg patch planning yesterday. Getting excited already. All the rain was needed, but it has brought the weeds out and go the grass growing. Better do something or it'll be a disheartening jungle out there come spring. Despite the cold, the land and the birds all make it feel like spring is trying to arrive already. Bizarre.

But no gardening today. Just more of the same as Friday (work, but never mind, all money in the bank eventually).

Mornings.
Milder here this morning and it is brighter, with the odd bit of sun, that always makes me feel happier
Get myself in gear and at least take the peelings to the plot for the bean trenches, and see what's what.

OH is working today so I think I'll try and get on with a few more Xmas preparations.

Doing my bit for stressed son and daughter in law.
My son has his own barbers business so this his busiest time of the year.
My daughter in law is in the restaurant trade so she is just as busy.
Me...I have time on my hands so having the 5 month old grandson for the day.

Morning all,what IS up with our weather,was most foul yesterday,and sun so far,at least no white stuff and ice,so that keeps everything moving,the only panic buying are for the season,our chemist inside asda,is only closed for the 1 day,so means the store IS open,the mind boggles at times,soon be choc eggs on show ,have a good day.

Good evening, its been a cold but dry day today, out and fed the birds first this morning then off to church, after lunch we visited a friend who suffers from a cancer, and has last a lot of weight recently, then went to our grandsons birthday party, there was a number of his friends there as well and boy do youngsters shift the food I was feart to put my hand down incase it was taken as well came home exhausted made our tea then sat down to watch a film but for some reason I missed it I now feel wide awake for some reason Well enjoy your week and when it is so busy, try spreading a little bit of happiness by passing on a smile. Well I would have enjoyed it but a pal whose wife is presently in hospital phoned for a chat and he's finding it heavy going just now so I did what friends do. I was really happy though that it was someone who came from a non dancing background who won. There's something about seeing them struggle then constantly blossom and improve and improve again. So well done to her

Not quite sure what today will bring...but my long list of 'things which needed doing yesterday' is waving to me

Rather than sending cards this year , I have decided to either email or phone people and have a long chat with them...so I've made a start.
It's lovely catching up with peeps you've not seen for ages!

Right...best crack on. At least it's warmer and trying to be sunny here at last!

My list of things to do is shouting at me, Nicos, so best make a start, The kitchen first as I've a Trashco delivery this afternoon. Once this is stashed away there will only salad stuff, milk and cream to buy nearer the day. Sorted.

Off to town again today and hopefully it will be the last trip this side of Christmas.

Morning all or has it just crept in to afternoon. Hard frost with us. I broke the ice to give the birds the doings for a drink but 10 minutes later it was frozen over again.

Felt like a lie in this morning but it's recycling bin day and I didn't want to risk missing the collection especially since it's so close to the holiday period. There's always tomorrow .

I planted up the shallots I intended planting up on Friday. I'm sure the shallots won't know the difference .
