  • I had taken a friend to a meeting in a nearby town( no public transport and she doesn’t drive) we stopped off at a local garden centre on the way home. So, so disappointed. It’s still a proper garden centre and not a department store, but it has given itself over to Christmas. I needed some bulbs and corms as a Christmas present. There is a Santa’s grotto where they usually are. There was a minuscule stand with a few spring bulbs.

So another local shop will lose out to the internet.

    • Early evening folks. Failed this morning to say hello.
Got up at 8.30 and was being picked up for work at 9.15
I have never moved so fast in the morning, thank goodness hubby woke me up.
Got the all clear from the cardiologist with a stern warning about sorting my cholesterol out.
Well, that will be at the docs on Thursday. Told you it was a medical week.
We made £176 on our Christmas raffle and work. Really pleased.
      Have a lovely evening peeps

      • Just spent 2 hours along with my Nephew clearing a large delivery of logs and stacking them. OH gave him a crisp £20 note for his troubles so at £10 an hour that wasn't bad going for a thirteen year old.
She is wanting me to go Crimbo shopping with her tomorrow but I will be hobbling around like an old man after this evenings exertions!

            • Good evening, it actually stayed dry for most of the day, just a light shower about three o clock just before the kids came out from school, but before that OH and I went down to Ayr and the temperature showing in the car was 9c, but once out the car there is still a cold wind blowing. Also got the garage door sorted and it works a treat I am now sitting here about sleeping but if I went to bed I would be up about four tomorrow morning so better give myself a shake and waken up a bit, I think I will get things ready to sow some seeds shortly, both onions and peppers, I want to have some peppers next year so they are getting started early . Right, enjoy tomorrow keep p safe and try and give someone a helping hand. G

                • Morning all. It's absolutely perishing here. Hard frost that has even nipped the pines in places.

Mr Snoop off to the vet's again. Poor dog. Anyway, every week is another one on the road to recovery.

Other than that, not much else. Work and checking on why people haven't acknowledged receipt of bills days ago when today is the last day for accepting them for 2018.

Have a jolly day, everyone. Stay warm (and dry where applicable).

I managed to get all my pre Xmas food shopping sorted yesterday ..yipppeee...and picked up a few 'extras' (as you do)

Much milder here too much better for the poor birds and wildlife. The birds have certainly chomped (can a bird chomp????) their way through our seeds and peanuts we leave out!

                          • morning all. Mild but blowing a hoolie again. I was out watering in the greenhouse and was genuinely fearful of it being damaged with me in it .

Usual weekly shopping for her ladyships Mum and Dad today and it will be dark before we get home .
