I have taken on a new pet project - local history and bits (cos I am a certified nutter
). However, I have quickly discovered that there was a local horticulturalist - Alicia Amherst (sometimes spelt Amhurst) a.k.a Evelyn Cecil.
Has anyone read any of her books (I am not at a point of paying £10+ a time to see what they are like
) or come across her? Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you as always
