Me and the OH are tying the knot in one month - May 20th to be exact - and I think Andrewo's date is sometime in August. Not sure when Eskymo is sitting her driving test, but if she types in anymore soup recipes then she's not studying her highway code enoughRat

hey! I passed my theory test two weeks ago - got 100% on the multiple choice questions and 90% on the hazard perception videos...which is pretty good!
I'm in the process of practicing at the moment, but that's been put on hold as our car is temporarily without a handbrake so got to wait till next week before I get the role of chaufeur for the OH again.
I'm booking my test on Monday and apparently there is a 6 week waiting list so I'll find out then when the date of the test will be....can't wait to get it over and done with. I'm supposed to be having a Mock test with my instructor next week but decided to cancel as I have no chance of practicing my road manouvers before then with a car with no handbrake.Last edited by eskymo; 22-04-2006, 03:09 PM.

Nah - it's a bit like riding a bike - the more you practise, the easier it gets - it's worth putting in the hours just toodling round the local streets/ Also, if your examiner is up for it, take a couple of lessons in the area where you will be sitting the test - I did this and my instructor obviously knew the test area well as the route he made me practise on was as close to the actual test route as makes no difference - helps with the confidence side too if you are semi-familiar with the area.Rat

When I got to 40 something I wanted to do something different so took my motorbike test (spent years on the back of OH's bike and wanted something of my own, racier, fed up with old English bikes).
It was the hardest thing I ever did, the day of the test. But passing was soooo great. So ........... stick in there Eskymo - it will be the greatest feeling~
