  • anyone using Gardening Naturally nematodes

have you had your June delivery?

they are usually on or about the 10th of the month, and I haven't received mine. I'll check with them on Monday, but wondered how anyone else's supplies are?

Yeah I use them but normally order via Amaz0n. I don't have a set date for delivery. Didn't know you could do that. They usually turn up within a week of ordering.

yeah, if you go direct you can order eg 4 months' worth in one go and get them delivered monthly. been good in the past, but this year they were a teeny bit late last month and are unarrived this month. humph

Because to date it's worked very well getting them posted, and I don't have a lot of time to devote to the plot. also, most methods i have seen involve catching infected slugs, and I'm not confident I'd know what they looked like.

ironically, I was wondering about using a bit of this month's delivery to try infecting a captive slug population to see if I could brew my own...

If you collect a couple of dozen slugs the odds are one will be contaminated with nematodes, and yes if you collect some slugs you can use some of your purchased nematodes to seed a batch of your own, and the sludge from that will act as your starter material for your next batch

I'll give it a go - I do have plenty of slugs. Although they seem to be pretty bloomin' healthy, at least in appetites...

Phoned them up, apparently I'd booked them for this week. mental note for next year to keep a note of when they are booked for...
