Went to do a top up shop and when I got back in the car I realised it was raining. It was so fine I hadn’t felt it when putting my shopping in the boot.

Think we're one of the driest parts of the country at the moment - said so on countryfile!
On Monday we had our first rain in over 5 weeks - it lasted about 90 minutes and made the first 7mm of the soil vaguely dampish
Getting quite bad here - farmers are using winter stores to feed cattle as grass hasn't grown, and many fields have only had one cut so won't be enough feed for winter. Oats and barley are doing so badly they most likely won't be fit for human consumption so at least the animals can eat that!
I've seen cracks in the ground over a foot deep, and established shrubs are starting to die off.....
Here on the Wild West Coast of Wales, I had approx 1" of rain yesterday, so much so I had a day off from watering outside ... just because it was raining and we didn't get much sun...
I want this this duly noted that I am rejoicing the fact we had rain on the coast... I can't remember the last time I said that !!! lol...
