Had no rain here all of June and none so far this month - only been watering the tunnel - all the veg looking very sad but we did pick a courgette the other day - we are on a meter so nothing gets wasted but does make you mad when other people run hoses all night.Comment

yes yes, that's why I posted - I'm feeling a little down in the dumps - thought I'd share the misery - having said that looks like might get rain in the South West on Friday - a thunderstorm to-boot!

Ah well, I only went with the met office and they're probably out of dried seaweed, neither can they see which way the cows are pointing from their office window.

Driving along here, looking at the roadside plantings, both new and well established, you can see that the silver birch have dried up completely. They're not going into autumn colours, just going straight to brown and crispy. I expect they'll recover, but they're looking very dead at the moment.Comment
