As I am watching my grandsons, and have been out a walk, watched the youngest on his bike and decided I need a rest I picked up a seed catalogue, just to have a look through it, I then started making a list of what flowers I will grow next year, so now the resolution not to buy any packets of seeds next year, looks as if it's on a shoogly peg,I hope I can pick them up at a reduced price.
My list is ,Antirrhinum, dahlias,lupus, cascading lobelia, marigolds, nemesia, petunias, pansies, sweet peas, and verbena trailing.

Not a List but I have placed 3 orders this week for reduced price seeds - including more Trombas and Beth Alpha cucumbers which have been so productive this year.

I've ordered mine from seekay - 80 seeds for 99p but if you order 5 packets on Eb@y its 20% discount and free p&P. Bought my Trombas from there also.

My fingers and brain are twitching also,i need to have a good sort out of what i have,plus what i REALLY need,am going to TRY my best at least,also cut down on several varieties of the same breed,i need to stick to baisic breeds of things,that i know will perform,trying to make things a lot easier for myself,as i have NO intentions of giving up altogether.

I picked up a number of packets half price at Hampton Court flower show, and will be checking out sales later in the year. I have been more ruthless this year, and got rid of some of my ancient seeds collected in seed swaps from grapes on here before I went to teach abroad, 5 years ago! Of course, only after checking to see if they would germinate first!

My plan is to buy very few seeds for next year. Let's see how that goes. Like you rary I usually fail miserably

I will almost certainly be moving house in the next 8 - 12 months , (i.e. right in the middle of peak growing season) so anything I sow between now and then will need to be easily transportable or give a winter/early spring crop, or be very quick-cropping so I can easily time my harvest (or not have invested too much if I can't take it with me intact). I won't be able to sow half the seeds that I have and will have to be very disciplined with new stuff. So that time spent perusing the Real Seeds site last night may have to be more about future ideas for the "forever-garden" that I hope to one day have than about things I can buy and sow in the next year.

I have quite a few unopened packets of seeds waiting for next year, but a few bits and pieces I would definitely like to try...
Some tall /traditional peas (supposed to avoid gluts, and less bending to pick them)
Strawberries in hanging baskets ( hopefully out of reach of squirrel)
Parsnips - I haven’t managed one yet, and I don’t intend to be defeated!
