Forced to retreat

At 16.30 today great clouds of flying ants took off, so many I have decided to retreat to the sanctuary of home....

Anyone else got them?

frankly, if flying ants blotted out the sun at the moment, I'd consider it a bonus. ..

(none flying round our way, but there were quite a few of the big ones walking about on Friday, so I'm giessing soon...

We had one nest 'take to the skies' on the 11th July as we were all sat out in the garden, approx 5pm, lasted an hour, we shut the doors and windows for that time and then it was gone. A few escaped into the conservatory and the spiders had a field day !
