OK many on here know that we have been foster parents to very elderly or end of life Labs for the last few years.
After the beautiful Freaky died in my arms a few months ago I said 'no more' as I have a plateful to deal with and thought no dog would make it easier.
Cue a few weeks later....................off to the Doc's and would you belive crying at the end of his desk. Take these tabs he says. Took 2 and very seriously ill.
OK that is not going to work so what makes me happy? Being 30 years younger? Winning the lottery? Having boobies that don't flap around my kness?
No thinks I - a dog.
Dogs, with the meds, poop, foilbles etc thats what.
I had a look on the Lincolnshire Rescue Kennels sites just out of interest of couse. We (as in me) decided another mutt was needed.
A younger one between the ages of 6-8 that was not going to you know what too soon.
Sotted a Staffie sitting on a bench calling to me.
Of to the kennels (piggin ell the cab fare there and back was expensive).
Goes to see Odin and then I made THE mistake. I told Jo, the lovely lady who looks after all these unwanteds that we had experience of very oldies and end of life.
Bad, bad decision on my part.
Oh she said we have a mother and daughter Staffie in for the last year (thats terrible). Elderly owner in hospital and the passed away so NOBODY wants them because they are a pair.
She, with the best of intentions lied.
So, please say hello to Mags.
who is 9, very well behaved and the daughter of.........................Pip (we call Plop as her windy pops are killers) Oh Plops is 13.
So, wanting a younger one we (as in me) end up with a 9 and a 13 year) Get a grip Lumpy!
Hey Ho!
