Saturday job as a general dogsbody at the local riding school in return for free rides.
Left school and trained as a riding instructor.
                Stud groom then stud manager.
Now working in a pork pie bakery, packing and distribution.

Compared with the number of jobs everyone else seems to have done, my CV is positively boring!

I could shorten my list and make it really boring if you like:-

                      Saturday jobs
                      Civil Service 6 years
£10 Pom - whatever job came along
Civil Service again for 24 years
                      Voluntary redundancy!

                      Isn't that tedious?

Fortunately, the Department (Welsh Office) was responsible for nearly all Government work in Wales and we were encouraged to change our jobs every 3 years or so to gain experience, which I did.
Mostly, I'd look for a job that involved travelling around Wales and apply to be transferred to it.
They sponsored me to train as an Internal Auditor (2 years in London) and the followup MSc in Business and Management. (So bored, just writing that). But the principles have stood me in good stead, even as a Moderator.............for example, never trust a man who wears white socks or believe someone who posts whilst drunk.

I'm sorry, rary, I shouldn't annoy the elderly. I'll show you more respect in future.

Talking of Ancient Monuments, I once visited your old castle where they found a small chest (about 32A) containing a few pennies with a parchment that said, "Ye Coines herein, belong to ye Ancient Rary and to his suns and hairs until time immoral............"

It was obviously yours as it was full of typos.

I know I'm tired and I've only got the small light on...... but I can't be the only one that read that as £10 porn, can I?

Its your mind, Thelma! Whichever way you read it, it was a bargain for something that lasted 2 years.
