Is a bit of a cross over moment when the corded and battery options are the same price.??

Crossover point is close I think. Batteries getting better / cheaper / lighter...
Been at the plot this morning with a petrol hedge trimmer - was hard/heavy work even with a harness - but also handed over a little cordless strimmer to some folk there that I picked up at Wikes for £32 (extra discount for being special) - generally on offer for £38 - will do what they need to keep their plot in shape and won't need petrol / lubricant / carb etc etc. 3 year warranty too - though it will doubtless conk out in year 4.
I think give it 5 years and only the really heavy equipment will be petrol / oil...

Is going to be a few years or so yet. Was looking at a battery chainsaw, but they don't have the torque
