Sweetcorn 'Tuxedo' - nearly 100% germination and 2-3 cobs per plant, and tastes absolutely delicious!

Don't you need a pig to find truffles?

No, better to train dogs, pigs will find them and eat them. I think I've started to see growing pack for truffle like you do with mushrooms. Whether it works or not is another thing.

Sorry, Truffle entry was just a joke. Chanterelle mushroom wasn't. Have you tried them? You can find them in the wild, not terribly easy to get mixed up with other dangerous mushrooms. In France, it's not uncommon to get them in restaurant (nothing too fancy if you know what I mean) but over in UK, you'd probably be expected to go these ridiculoulsy expensive posh restaurant to find them.

I'd go for carrots - Sugarsnax. The only ones which grew well for us this year, and the kids loved them so much they all want their own 'patch' to grow in next year!

Not if you know where you planted them, I think!

So a couple of weeks later than intended, work has commenced on my anti-ratty tunnel today.

Dismantling the existing structure was a lot harder than I expected, a lot of stuck screws that no amount of WD-40 would liberate! So a lot of action for my sharp mate Stanley, my hand axe and my...
