Bit late on this thread I know, but I actually prefer Cava (Brut or Demi-Sec). Only bad experience was one year when we couldn't get the cork out and actually had to drill through it and lever it out. Didn't want to break the neck of the bottle cos I object to drinking broken glass and didn't want to waste any of the wine.Comment

What Dad had to resort to in the past was cutting off the top of the cork and pushing the bottom part back into the bottle to get around that dilemma - I like the idea of drilling through though - very resourceful!!Comment
