  • What heater????

    Hello,
I am looking for a cost effective way of heating my outhouse to keep it frost free and to keep the condensation at bay, it has plenty of ventelation, and it has power, but I would ideally like somthing very cheap to run.
    Any ideas?

Is there a greenhouse heater which might be suitable? I've had a look but they all seem very expensive

I have one of those oil-filled radiators in my greenhouse, it seems to be doing a fine job of keeping it frost-free and it only kicks in when the temperature goes down to a certain level. I bought it for a tenner in Wilkinsons last summer and it doesn't' seem to use a lot of leccy.

I have been thinking (very painfull dont try it at home) and I think a heater will make the condensation problem worse so I have decided to get some silicone gel eggs thet you pop in the microwave when wet and they absorb the moisture in the air so I am hoping this works

If you're really cheap (like me) try a 30 hour candle under an upturned teeracotta flowerpot. I use this cos we have no power source. No condensation either. It radiates very well and keeps the frost off.
