I looked at a copy of this in the bookshop a while back, and it looked very comprehensive.

I bought it and really enjoyed it - she gives good advice and some really funny accounts

I borrowed it from my library a while ago. Not a good one in my opinion.

I got it from the Book People a while ago and it's definitely worth £3.99 (IMO).

It's quite small (like a paperback novel size but shorter) and there are very few pics, so it's not a 'pretty' book.

I've found the section on what to do each month very handy!

My copy of this just arrived this morning, and I'm about halfway through reading it. I've enjoyed it so far, I really like her writing style and there's definately some good information in there. I wish I'd had when I first got my plot!

If you are an absolute beginner to allotments, it's probably very useful. If you are fairly experienced, it might not be that helpful. But it's an easy read and informative, so put it on your birthday present wish list.
