i have been looking at the stihl website and have got my eye on ht101 pole pruner and the fs55 if anyone has had the oppertunity to use one of these machines i would like to know if they are worth there money.
Pole pruners scare me!! but we have (I think) the FS85 and it is fantastic. It has had a lot of heavy duty work and is great. W have the grass cutting blade, strimmer and brush cutter atachments. Cannot recommend it highly enough (although the strimmer run out rather quickly). I particularly enjoy the "kit" ie helmet with visor and harness....!
I've got the pole pruner and the FS45 strimmer
The pruner is really good and saves having to go up ladders, but it's really tiring on your back and neck and I can't use it for more than about 1/2hr at a time.
The FS45 is one of the cheapest/most lightweight petrol strimmer Stihl do, but it's also really good, easy to use and doesn'y tend to go wrong.
I really rate Stihl tools and always buy them over cheaper brands (you can save off the rrp if you shop around). I give my tools a real battering and I find they are up to it!
