  • Water Butt Dripping Kit

Seen one at half-price. Are these kits any good for raised beds? Or is it cheaper to build your own? I have two beds so could I use a hose splitter(?) and buy a kit for each bed?

I guess you plug in and turn the tap on so how long would it take to drain a butt?

    Hi Nilling,

I would build your own system, how much tube comes with that kit and what are you going to do if there isn't enough.

Take a look at this article and also this page on building a system...

    ABC Guide to automatic watering

I now water my entire garden with a system linked to the tap, I just turn it on for 10 minutes a day and all my baskets, borders and my tomatoes get watered.

I have tried tomatoes in a hanging basket this year and they are coming on a treat.

    I hope this helps.

Agree with chickenrun. I've constructed my own for the tunnel. It does about 4-5 days on a full water but, on for 15 mins a day.
