Starchild - if I go for a wee and there is a queue, I will always use the disabled one. If the queue is huge - I use the men's!!

People who use disabled adapted toilets who don't need then are the same as people who use disabled parking spaces without a blue badge...

All disabled toilets should have radar keys!

            Rubbish!
Disabled loos are so that disabled people can wee when they are out just like everybody else. They are not reserved. Being disabled does not mean that you shouldn't have to queue too. People who use loos DO need them - regardless of physical ability.

I dont use disabled loo's or park in disabled or baby parking spaces I dont need to, but I have no problem with people who have small children using the loo's the answer is for more womens loo's to be put in, in the first place.

Many disabled toilets are larger so wheelchair and stick users can get in. Many have emergency cords, many are unisex so an opposite sex carer can help the disabled person with toileting.
My husband has to queue when someone else is using a disabled toilet. He cannot use a normal one. On average there is 1 disabled toilet to every 10 "normal" toilets. PLEASE don't use them, they are few and far between, some people are not able to use normal one. PLEASE leave them for those who NEED them.

I'm not going to whisper, use one too and it's fab, had it for ages before I plucked up the courage but now wouldn't use anything else, much cleaner, greener, cheaper and safer.

I've never used it, but where I work, there aren't any disabled people therefore if none of the able bodied people used it then it would never get used. Funnily enough, have never seen a woman go in ever, it's usually the guys going for "a sit", probably because their own loos are so horrible! Am more confused by the fact that people would declare to the public that they use a mooncup and therefore need a disabled loo as a) you don't and b) would you really want to discuss it with a stranger / work colleague? (and yes I do appreciate the fact that I just have discussed it with strangers but not face to face by the loo door!)

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

In some places there is only one loo, so it is 'multifunction' (ie disabled or otherwise). If there are 3 loos, one 'disabled' being the only one vacant, and no disabled person in sight, I use it if desperate. Otherwise I wait for the 'ordinary' one. It is all down to circumstances......

Moon cups - one for the ladies!

Hope Im not offending anyone by putting this on here? But just had to pass this on.
My friend recommended buying a moon cup instead of other sanitary wear (trying to moderate my language etc) and I was a litle dubious! At £20 a throw didnt feel I could afford it and wasn't sure of theidea.

Now I am an utter convert! I am never caught short by an early cycle, never have to by seperate items for nightware, actually have less of the heavy pain in the pelvic area, and its far more environmentally friendly., and my cycle seems shorter!

Have only been using for 2 months but its a thumbs up on every level so far... Just had to pass this on for personal, finacial and environmental reasons.
I'm sure there is a link out there but not sure how to put one on here...?

If its not suitable for this site please feel free to remove it! I hope it is ok as its quite liberating!

PS As this was moved didn't realise it had already been raised on this thread!! Hooray for the mooncup!!

Here's how to save a whole food bill per every couple of months.

Just go shopping one day later per week than you usually do, (I.e. Mon. 1st week, Tues. Second week, Weds. Third week etc.),make do with what you have in the cupboard for at least one day, at the end of seven weeks you will have saved a whole food bill!
Tins of chickpeas are a great standby for curry, with spinach/chard from the allotment, and stored tatties.
Cheese and tomato omelets......use your produce! Lovely!

Three years ago, I invested in a course of 'Home Maintenance' and I learnt to do those little things, such fix a dropping tap, change light switches, change door handles, etc. So then I decided that since I felt more confident it was time to take another step forward and I did tiling and a level 1 plumbing courses. I want to do the second level and next year, do an electrician course.

I bring my breakfast and lunch to work everyday because it's not only cheaper, but healthier. Carrying my lunch to work with me saves me about £120 a month alone.
