Books on Lunar planting

Hi,
Looking at taking up Lunar planting a bit more seriously for next years growing seasons.
Has anyone any suggestions for good books on the subject please?

Hi! Like you I have taken an interest in lunar planting and have ordered from Amazon at about £7 or so;

Michel Gros "In Tune with the Moon 2009: The Complete Day-by-day Moon Planner for 2009"

This was the book Toby Buckland trialled in his lunar planting experiment and the article was in the Jan Gardeners World issue. As usual Amazon have put a delay on this book so I will be recieving it at least 4 weeks later than anticipated!! Wonder if it was because I ordered it on a bad moon day for ordering books!!!!!

I bought "In tune with the Moon" from Amazon.
Maybe it's great - but a bit beyond me.

I've ordered "In tune with the moon" and waiting for it to come. I've been thinking about taking this sort of thing a bit more serious after comparing an old boys plot last year. Whether it was the moon or just that he was out in all sorts of weather doing things "because it was the time" remains to be seen.

Quite! Whilst I try to follow the moon planting and last year used the Kollerstrom book its mostly down to the effort you can put into the plot. I'm not going to buy another book because the gardeners calendar site is good enough for me but they're an interesting read.

I use the gardeners calender site too, i stick to the easy synodic planting, and don't sweat it too much if i miss by a day. i do find it works for me though, being a witch an' all

I use the gardeners calendar site too. For some reason it does work (perhaps the same witchy influence as Bride?). The weather the past two or three years has been far too unpredictable though and occasionally - well frequently really - I've had to shove stuff in no matter what, simply because it had finally stopped raining.

My "in tune with the moon" has finally come and although is really interesting, i find its a tiny bit beyond me too!! Am going to give the gardeners calender site a go!

in tune with the moon. I have thought about it and it does make sense. Trouble is you have to buy a book every year or is there a method of continuous growing. surely the idea is on one hand save money and the other to eat lovely home grown food. I see a certain magazine has now started to print a monthly guide. I wonder does it really work. I think it must do but I am on the hesitant side of going all in.

I did use a book, but after the author's recent issues with acceptance of the holocaust, I copied out my notes and threw them all in the bin.

I'm now using the gardener's calendar in my signature - it gives a week's info at a time. No need for any books any more!

I wish I'd found that site before I bought the book. Its very interesting but seems to be a translation and not enough explanation of the reasons behind it all for me to be convinced 100%.
