  • Cordless mower?

Thinking about swapping out the old 46cm self-propelled petrol mower for cordless. Been looking at the ones from Worx. We've not got much grass and it's now all flat lawn, has anyone got/used a good cordless lawnmower?

    No sorry.

I was looking at a cordless scarifier as I hate messing around with constantly moving the cable- but the lithium batteries are so expensive! Most seem to be sold without the batteries and charger- which almost double the price.
Just check they are included in the mower price!

(In the end we just went for a corded one as it’ll only be used a few times a year)
. A mower on the other hand…..yep- I’d certainly have gone for a cordless one if I didn’t already have a very decent petrol one.
It’ll be interesting to see which one you choose! Happy hunting!

I've had my Bosch battery mower for years after getting fed up with the hassle of petrol. No regrets
Nestled somewhere in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Good soil, strong winds and 4 Giant Puffballs!

We've got a cordless mower. I think I bought it from Lidl. It's cordless because you walk behind it and push.
Location:- Rugby, Warwckshire on Limy clay (within sight of the Cement factory)

Yeah the with and without battery choice can be a surprise if you've not double-checked. We've got some Worx cordless kit and some Bosch cordless - hedge-trimmers, so I was looking preferably at those two brands so I can 'share' the batteries around. The hedge-trimmers came with one battery and charger but are a few years old so maybe I'll look for Bosch kit that comes with another battery. But the Worx mowers look decent and our strimmer is Worx, so...

But the quality of the mower should be paramount.

So a couple of weeks later than intended, work has commenced on my anti-ratty tunnel today.

Dismantling the existing structure was a lot harder than I expected, a lot of stuck screws that no amount of WD-40 would liberate! So a lot of action for my sharp mate Stanley, my hand axe and my...
