Bokashi - where to buy?

Happy new year everyone

I am looking for recommended sellers of bokashi.
I have just used up the lot i got when i bought the buckets so i have no idea who to buy from.My local authority deal seems expensive compared to some sites.

Is there any sellers/sites i should avoid?

Green gardener had a deal on, I don't know if it's still running. I never had any problems with them, bought bokashi bran and biological controls, competative prices and good service.

Great forum! I wish I had found it ages ago .

I've been lurking around a bit and getting loads of advice, thank you.

I'm really keen to be as organic as possible and love the idea of a bokashi system, I haven't bought any bins yet as they seem a little expensive.

The bokashi bins I've seen appear to be large plastic bins with a mesh divider and a tap.

The cheapest I've found is about £45 for a twin system which seems quite a lot for what you get.

Am I missing something?

As time passes and the use is more widespread could prices plummet?

I usually get mine from wiggly wigglers in bulk (I share it with my Mum).

If you put your postcode in here http://www.recyclenow.com/home_composting/buy_a_bin/ then you will see if your local authority has any special deals for them.
I bought mine last year for £25 from my LA and at a time when they are supposed to be encouraging recycling i see now that they have put the price up to £45!!!
Why not try your local Freecycle to see if anyone has one they no longer use?

£25 seems about right, I wouldn't have a problem with that, but like you, I found my local authority recycle now site are charging £45.

I'll keep an eye on it and hope the price drops back to £25.

I have bought a few packs of bran as I have been using the bokashi bins for some time. Previously I ordered them from wiggly wigglers which was ok until the post office decided living in Norn Iron was a major crime!! and postage has become crazy. Any suggestions as to a reasonable supplier are greatly appreciated.
