Potato Weekend at Wyevale Garden Centres Sat 7th & Sun 8th Feb 2009

On Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th February many of our garden centres will be hosting a special potato event. On these days there will be:

- Over 20 potato varieties on display
- Children’s potato modelling competition
- FREE advice on how to grow potatoes
- Sampling of different cooked varieties of potato (at participating restaurant stores)

just popped in to my local one, what a huge dissapointment.

20 varieties ??? make that 6 with single tubers for 25p each. (not even one that i was tempted to try)
no-one has entered the kids competitions - perhaps a £5 gift voucher might not appeal to a six year old.
no potato tasting dispite our centre having a cafe in it!!

and would i really want advice from two teenage weekend workers?

as you can tell I did not stay very long at all.

not worth the 250 yard detour i took to get there.
