I received as a gift a year or so ago - love it. Loads of good advice and an enjoyable read.

It is a fab book i always refer to it for advice when stuck, another really good one not mentioned is The Complete Gardener by Monty Don. It isn't all veg but has a bloomin good veggie section and is a really lovely read to boot.
When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. ~Author Unknown
