Flybe to operate flights from Southampton to Clermont Ferrand, Beziers and Pau.
Just seen this today- great news for us as it cuts our collection time down to about an hour instead of the usual 2 and a half to Limoges. Hopefully they will start to operate this from other airports very soon

course this never happened when we had the original doors with the original keys which were about 6 inches long and weighed several pounds....
It is the kind of lock which secures the door at three points. The door is fairly new (4 yrs old) The handle has to be lifted in order to lock the door with the key.

Not sure whether it's nation wide but went into Jardiland today (not my usual place, far too expensive) and they have growing trays, covered with either peat pots or coir pellets, various shapes and sizes, at 30% off - well they did in Perigueux anyway.

Should have added, also looked at their heated propagators and they're a rip off.

I've been looking round for a couple of greenhouse heaters, in the end ordered them from Baumaux, tho I have problems with the company over their approach to Kokopelli and K's seeds, their hardware seems to be a good price. But the seeds are being boycotted!!!

hi Tony, I agree with you on the heated propagators. I wanted a super 7 but the prices in France are crazy. I looked into having one sent over, but have read a few reports of the packaging not being to good.

I think I will try to bring one back the next time I am in the UK, or even try to make a home made one. I have seen a few good home made ones done by a few followers of my blog, which I will do a posting about in the future.

I have a plan for one but it has a sand base and I wanted this one for indoors. I'll ask my daughter who works at B&Q to have a look at prices for me.

                    Whilst online....

Whilst there are a few Froglets? online, can anyone tell me where to get one of those really large square plastic containers with metal banding around? What sort of costs are we looking at? We want to use it for a water container for the polytunnel and understand some are black and used for oil, so won't be of use, but the clear ones are what we are looking for.
                    Hope you can help.

                      One of these???

Sorry - no idea- we had 2 already here when we bought the house...apparently they had previously contained salt of some sort.

You can buy them at our local Agro-Coop or from a local brico yard round here, in fact, they're quite widely available in 24, they come in at about €100 each.

Hit Weldom this morning for a few bits and bobs and they have their sale on - doesn't everybody?

Two nests of 3 planters, wooden, nicely made, very sturdy, plastic sheeting included to line them with, normally €109, €20 per set - we bought 2.

And they have some old stock but perfectly viable fruit trees, half price. We bought 2 apple trees, one Grannie Smith, one Reignette Gris de Canada, €15 each, which was half price. Tho the pots were rather small, they're healthy 2 metre high trees.

If you have a Weldom locally, may well be worth a visit. I know they're a franchise but they had loads of stuff to get rid of locally.

                            Crazy stuff ........

Looked at a Sneerboor long handled fork in French catalogues and online, cheapest, with French postage I could find was €125 or thereabouts.

Looked in UK online catalogues and found the same fork which even at the full price, plus £25 postage, was still about €30 cheaper than buying the French fork. And the catalogue price was £10 off, so even allowing for the exchange rates etc etc, it came in at about €35 cheaper to have one posted from the Uk rather than to buy in France.

                            That is just barmy!

Especially when the fork is made in HOLLAND!

                              c'est bizarre!
I always try to buy on-line from here in France but very often I find that things cost a lot more than they do in UK (including the shipping)
I have a friend here who makes stained glass products and still finds it cheaper to have glass sent over from America rather than buy it here and glass is very heavy and must be extremely expensive to ship.
                              As you say, it's barmy!

Keni - Sorry to be a bit behind the times, but these cuves are often advertised on Le Bon Coin ( Petites annonces gratuites d'occasion - leboncoin.fr ) for around 65-80 euros each.
