I've just used my clubcard points for GW mag, and also for the kids the national geographic. Only done it because didn't know what else to use the points on, so really it works out free for just swiping a card. Also buy GYO and Amateur Gardening

When I was in the Uk I used to subscribe to KG and continued for a year after we moved here. GYO was not available when I started the subscription it's that long ago.
I don't subscribe to GYO because the shipping costs are too much to Europe - would cost of £50 per year, far too much no matter how good the mag is. I do get my daughter to buy it for me if there's something in it that interests me and I always buy it when I go back to the UK.
As for the others, I think they're a bit too repetative and quite often reflect/promote the current fads being promoted on the tele programmes.
But here I buy 3 bio potager gardening magazines (in French of course, great way of learning the gardening language here) because they really do cater for veggie gardeners, moon gardeners, people interested in obscures and heritage seeds, not as a special feature but all the time - like a 4 page spread on growing white asparagus, how to grow, crop and use elderberries, that sort of thing and THAT'S mainstream here, not unconventional.
