15 TONNES OF FREE COMPOST 9th MAY FINSBURY PARK

Just got this through on Freecycle!!

9th May, 10am - 3pm

As part of Compost Awareness Week 2009 Haringey Council will be giving
away 15 tonnes of compost. Bring as many bags, sacks or boxes as you
like and we will fill them up for FREE ! There is no limit to the amount
you can take and there is parking within Finsbury Park itself.

Additionally there will be staff on hand to provide information on home
composting (for beginners and existing users experiencing any problems)
as well as info on wormeries, and bokashi units.

There will also be children's activities on the day: face painting,
bouncy castle for under 10s and seed planting...all for FREE.

I wondered what Haringey did with all the stuff. I must crack on with my raised beds and take advantage of my neighbours generosity.

I would recommend going early.
