Best Compost prices?

Hi everyone, I did have a search, but couldn't find anything recent.

I have been happily buying my compost from Webbs which has always been 3 for a tenner.

This year they are £4.99 each for 75L

Where are you finding the best deals?

b and q also focus usually do 3 100 litres for £8.

Focus is 3 for 2 at the moment on 60litre multipurpose or peat free multipurpose

Our local Focus was offering 2 bags of 100 litre compost for £10 plus if you can find split bags (most of them!) they were doing an extra 20% off.

I didn't realise at the time but they took the 20% off first then added the £2 discount to bring them down from £12 for 2 to £10 so they ended up being £7.60 for 200 litres.

How is the Wickes compost? Never have associated Wickes with gardening for some reason

I bought Wickes compost last year, it seems to be fine.

I must go and see if our local one is doing that same offer - couldn't see anything online.

I have been using ASDA multi purpose this year.
70l costs £6 for 2 bags.
It seems to be good quality and so far my plants and it are getting on fine

I was not impressed with the Tesco £1 bags as they are full of twigs/lumps etc.

My compost experiences today which may help.

Wickes offer has ended, now 4 x 75L for £12.00.

Checked B&Q as it was next door, no offers at all there.

The 125L bales were £6.98.

So went back to Wickes

Generally seems quite a hike this year, we have a reasonable round trip to any of these places, so being tight I take that into account.

Asda is the other direction, so will check that out next time.
