    Westfalia cultivator

May I recommend one of these.

You need to buy a broomhandle, but it's less than a tenner.

Rotary Cultivator from Westfalia at our Plant protection and fertilizers inside the Gardening shop

I have one and it's pretty good.

Wolf soil miller and small 4" hoe must be the most used tools we own! Absolutely fantastic tools, brilliant quality, do exactly what they are supposed to, worth every penny!

The three pronged head is a Cultivator, used in a similar action like a hoe to break up the soil surface.

We use them all the time at work along with the various hoe heads. I also have at home the rake head, its heavy but the weight pushes it into the soil more.

It is a pricecy system, the long handle alone was £11. I do suggest a squirt of WD40 or similar occasionaly to the side of teh red button.

Was already hanging my nose over the soil miller so that may well be my birthday pressie from my mum. Thanks all.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

Courtesy of the posh walled arden I grow at, I have almost a complete set of wolf tools - three handles and more attachments than I actually need - but the soil tiller is by far the best of the lot.

I saw Mr Dobby's soil miller a couple of years ago here on the Vine and was so impressed went out and bought one! I've also got the rake and the three pronged fork - all excellent tools, and in constant use. Bit pricey, but I reckon well worth it.

I got some "demonstrators" in the 1980's when in the trade and still going strong.Have added to them recently and the quality looks just as good

This Wolf stuff is great. I love the way that you can buy shorter or longer handles, plastic wood.
I have a pile of it when ever someone cant think of a pressie for me I get a hoe or picker atachment.
Each year they do an offer....a handle and one or two attachements at a special price.
The only thing they dont do is an onion hoe.
