    Hello all
I spent yesterday afternoon in the company of North Devons British Bee Keeping Association, and what a great afternoon it was.
Having had an interest in keeping bees for some time, i bit the bullet and contacted the secretary of the BBKA ( North Devon branch), who responded immediatly, and put me in touch with the appropriate person.
As a complete Dufus when it comes to Bees, i was made very welcome, by some lovely, friendly people, who spent the afternoon indulging my ignorance with extreem patience.
I shall be returning next week, a little earlier, to help with some communal gardening, in exchange for alot of guidance, and practical exersize in the art of Bee Keeping.
My reccomendation (to those interested in bees but have no knowledge), is to contact your local British Bee Keepers Association, and to go along to meet these warm, friendly people and give it a try, and if you have the same experience that i did, you will find these people a credit to the association that they represent.

Thanks for that. Our local association ran a course earlier this month which was sadly fully booked, but I'm going to attend the next one. It's good to know you found it so helpful.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.
