What planet are they on?? Why don't they feature 'real' gardens - weeds, and all? Everything is so picture perfect, and who on earth has the kind of budget they have to create these gardens from scratch? Everything is designer this and designer that. I agree with you about the raised beds zana. What nonsence! All I can say is, if this is the example novice gardeners, especially veg gardeners think they should follow, then god help them. Their only saving grace was Carol’s propagating tips. Come on GW. You can do better, much better!

I watched it the other week, as you know I know nowt about growing so thought I would learn sommat. One thing! I learnt the right way up to plant courgette seeds. Which was too late as I had planted mine. Was hoping for something more informative
That's weird, I said exactly the same to DH about it being like Blue Peter.
I thought their manner was very patronising, it really has a feeling of 'pretend-gardening' now that it never used to.
I'm not keen on Toby whatisface either, he comes across as being a bit of a bully having digs at Joe Swift all the time. ...and I reckon his hanging basket won't last until next week.
I have been watching it whist doing the ironing, its something to have on whilst waiting for Have I got News For You.
I read an article recently where some bod from BBC was asked to defend all the criticism about how poor this new series was and they summed it up as an Entertainment/ Magazine style show.
Much like the One Show and Blue Peter then.?? No longer a means to educate the public on Horticultural matters.
I have heard that Monty Don is doing some sort of Gardening show for Channel 4.
