I absolutely adore Boots reviving overnight rescue in their gorgeous feet range. Originally I was using it for my feet but works brilliantly on the hands to 'melt away dry skin and renew texture'!!!!

I dont bother with cotton gloves or anything like that. Just rub it in before I go to sleep and the transformation is amazing in the morning!

Not such a girly question (I'm a male) As a gardener that does not like wearing gloves, but is a classical guitar player on days off - I use and recommend Dove Intensive for Extra dry hands - works for me.

I thought of getting some cotton gloves to put on under the gardening ones with some sort of cream on first .

In the morning your hands will be baby soft (and hopefully you won't have a greasy pillow). it works really well on hard feet too
Doesn't seem to work for me, TS

Thanks for all the replies, everybody.

It seems to be Neutrogena or "something from Boots!" - preferably for feet!!

Can't use Dove, because the perfume gives me a rash

Doesn't it make your fingertips overly soft for guitar-playing?

I like Lush Handy Gurugu - my 250ml pot has lasted ages and ages - I am a no glove gardener unless there are nettles or slugs about!
