  • Seed packets for your home grown seeds?

    Hi everyone,

    I've just received a seed swap package ( thrilled ) and I noticed that some people had either put home grown seeds or transplanted left-over shop-bought seeds into lovely wee paper seed packets, with spaces to write variety and specific instructions.

    Does anyone know where you can get these?

    Many thanks

    Caro

      A few people print out and make their own I think There's a link somewhere on ChitChat I think, or there's a few I found on Google;

      Free Seed Packet Templates from www.gardensandcrafts.com

      Make your own Seed Packets

      I have a bunch of small plastic 'ziplock' type bags, and some 'glassine' envelopes that I found on ebay, from a seller who also sells seeds; eBay UK Shop - Seedaholic she also sells little silica gel packs to keep your seeds dry

          I use dinner money envelopes from the £pound shop.

              Some great ideas, thanks everyone. Will have a look in the pound shop at lunchtime

              Might even try printing out my own first and get busy with the pritt stick!

                Caro - Can I recommend sellotape as the seeds can stick to the prittstick when it peels apart [I know about this due to the amount of seed packets that had been stuck down with double sided sellotape/glue and when I opened the pass the parcel packet the whole lot fell all over my carpet], and my cleaner wasn't due for a couple of days so I had to get the dyson out.

                  I use the little plastic reseable bag things and stick a label on the front. There's no gaps at the edges for small seeds to fall out and you can open and close them as many times as you want without worrying about the stickiness going. They have the other added advantage that if you leave your seeds in the garden by mistake and it rains then they don't get wet
