B&Q do a basket you pull along, very dashing i might say.... much better than the common plastic one's from the supermarkets, (she Say's in her posh voice with her nose in the air). I on the other hand have a plastic trug, very common, well thats me...common

Our local supermarket introduced those baskets on wheels but they only lasted a couple of days, they went out of the store never to be seen again.
        Location....East Midlands.

I spotted one of those at Homebase at the weekend, it looked pretty robust. I tend to use old shopping bags or my tub trug myself.

My local Home & Bargins had 3 of the wooden tugs the other week for £4.99. 18", 16" and 13".

Not sure if any are left, as everyone was buying them.

Right then, I will be doing the rounds of Home & Bargain, Homebase, B&Q, and Asda this weekend , and if all else fails I will be eating chinese takeaway for some time to come. May have to get some bigger clothes too....

I tried for ages to 'obtain' one, but then they put those security tags on them.

Then discovered my local Wyevale do them in nice dark green colour. Ahem.

Our local Tesco's have put paint down on all the exits from the stores car park.
The trollies wheels don't work on the paint and it stops them dead.

The problem is you can just lift the trolly over the painted areas and take them home with you.

                    Pointless Tesco's again.

I got this trug from GYO when I was MOM - along with some other great goodies.
Everytime I put something in it I call it my smug trug.

I always wanted one of the wooden ones, but found a green plastic one in QD for a couple of quid. Had it nearly 3 years now and it's great. I only live 5 minutes away from the lottie and unless I have lots to harvest it's perfectly adequate. Being fairly wide and shallow you can stand plastic tubs in it if you're picking berries so they don't get squashed.

I bought a beautiful basketware trug from the local agricultural show a couple of years ago, but I have to admit I rarely use it. This year I'm hoping the basket lady is back because she does those traditional picnic baskets with the central handle between two lids and my grandson is obsessed with picnics so I think we'd have some fun with it. I also want a small basket for my eggs so I can line it with straw and use it to collect them.
Into each life some rain must fall........but this is getting ridiculous.

The thing you want is called a trug; I use an old washing up bowl

A few people recommend a Sainsbury's hand basket.....
