  • Jamie's America.

Not sure how long the offer is on for,nor if it's Nationwide, but we picked up a copy yesterday in Waerstones for 9.99.(meant to be £26)
I've only had a quick flick through it,but first impressions are good.

Watched the programme the other night and as usual, loved it. I love Mehican food and am looking forward to trying the Mole' recipe if it's in the book!

Amazon have the book for £9.99 too. Will probably add it to our Jamie collection.

Oliver was making me cringe with his Mexican hood talk though.

There's a chicken choccy mole & a Choccy Mole Tart in there...the mole tart looks rather yummy!

Watched the progamme and to be honest hated it, found it all very cringe making which was a shame as some of the dishes looked nice.

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?

watched the programme, am sure HB will be trying out some of the recipes, I can only praise Jamie after all HB loves him, so using his recipes has been steadily increasing her ranges of dishes and I get to be chief tastier and don't have to cook, so I can't complain. After all its not many 14 year old who will cook a meal from scratch these days!

Good for Happybunny!! That's really impressive .

I like Jamie a lot, though I think I preferred the style and pace of the 'Naked Chef' series (plural) best. I did also enjoy the 'Jamie at Home' series too. I missed the first 'America' episode, but I'll try and catch it on repeat somewhere.

Then get the book & skip the show!

Even if you're not a Jamie fan there's some really good recipes.I've been sort of on the lookout for a good proper American cookbook for a while & there's a really good mix from all the different regions...or should that be States?
