hi i went in to my local aldi today and they had childrens gardening tools for £2.99 each i wasnt sure how much of a bargain this was until later going to my local garden centre and theres were priced at £5.99
DS received a set of Aldi garden tools for his birthday two years ago. They were the best I've seen available for his age group (5 at the time), being the appropriate size, and more importantly for me, robust. He was (and still is!) a 'builder/farmer' and his tools are used for real work. I'd spent a fortune on toy tools in the past, but these couldn't cope with the work he had for them. Although older and bigger now he still uses some of the Aldi tools as well as Joseph Bentley tools (child size versions of real garden tools) which he just loves.
A good beginning is half the work. Praise the young and they will make progress.
