My other half is really keen to have a go at pickling his own onions. The only problem is, I didn't have any success with the few onions I tried this year (first year, started late in season as I had to wait for the plot to be ready).

So, please don't chuck me off the vine, I'll go and sit on the norty step gladly ... but where could we buy () pickling onions by the small sackload?

I did a google search for farm shops up this way, but we don't seem to specialise in onions round here.

Morrisons usually sell pickling onions around this time of year, in biggish nets

And if I banned you, I'd have to ban myself, coz I buy 'em every year

And even I - who grows hundreds of onions each year and gets a ribbing from lottie neighbours about the amount I grow - buy more by the sackload.
