Just discovered Partridges of Hadleigh, Suffolk - Home & Garden Store For: Kitchenware Tools Machinery Plumbing Electrical

They've got a load of stuff from garden supplies, kitchen equipment and preserving equipment including a good selection of jars. I'd have thought most grapes would find something they like on there.

I spent so long looking through their stock that I had a dream last night about walking round an open market with my step-dad and it was filled with a load of their stuff...

....and then the tripods attacked!

This is local to me and it is truly is as fab as it looks. It's a bit of a tardis and there is stuff in every nook and cranny but luckily there are loads of staff to help you find what you want. It's the kind of place where you find the sort of stuff that you haven't even got a CLUE where to look elsewhere for and also the kind of place where you come out with stuff that you didn't even know that you just have to have!!! Prices are good too. My last trip sorted me out with all the preserve making stuff that I needed and at a really good price.
Partridges is an institution - and it is so totally brilliant that it is still an independent shop that has managed to adjust the way it runs itself to suit the times. It now has a new Victorian Garden type of extension down the street, which I can't wait to have a look at. A nice farm shop too.

If you are ever around in Suffolk, it is in a really beautiful medieval town called Hadleigh. Well worth visiting.
