I must have been lucky as mine arrived today sans import tax.

Be prepared to have your brains picked over for tips and recipes come harvest SS, and probably before.

Roitelet, I am going in May and will visit a shop called "Weldoms" in Bayeaux as they sell le parfait kilner type jars and mason type jars with the two piece lids.

No worries at this place Roitelet, we have been quite a few times and its a sort of kitchen come hardware superstore. They have good choices of most stuff year round.

I did get a job lot from Nisbets.co.uk one year and think they were quite reasonable. Might be worth a look

              Hi there,

Sorry to hijack your discussion here but I just had a quick question.

I've been looking at getting one of these 23quart canners but I have one question. What kind of stove/cooker do you guys have? It looks very wide (and huge all over) so I was wondering if it can be used on a normal 4 burner cooker?

              Thanks for any reply/advice!
